Prior to this recording Betty has been bullying Victor and my son and I felt sorry for him.  I told him he would have to be a little more aggressive with Betty, and stick up for himself. Victor takes the advice and won't let her push him away from the seeds or crowd him off the perch. He pecks at her for about 20 seconds and she retreats. Victor leaves the cage and says, "I guess you know who is the biggest one in the cage now?"

In this file Victor talks about Betty's side of the story and about the consequences if the fight would have got out of hand. He imagines that Betty and him get into a big fight and he picks her eyes out and she ends up dying. Then other budgies come and see what happens. They critisize and judge Victor for what he has done. He even names the file "The Case of Betty."

Note: That was the only time he really ever really fought with Betty because as he says in the file "There has to be a purpose stored." I also told him that if he doesn't stick up for himself now it might be harder when Betty gets older and bigger. She might even be heavier than him.

Victor. Case of Betty.
Yeah, it better be something.
She says the boys here bitch okay.
Tell your dad, I'm the lightest budgie.
I have to be the lightest one pretty soon
I was a fool to body poke her, beat up.
Has be Ryan.He like to pass much. Look here. Get here.
Come see. Come, stop pick up.
She pick at Victor.
Come, go see bad Victor. Critique.
Pick out your casket.
The talking budgies, they talk on me.
How come she's dead?  The face that can bite.
Tell to live right.
Victor, can you tell the budgies. Poor thin I stares.
Yeah, with eyes out, at you. Go cage! Bad.
That's Victor, Victor. Betty, I can't be like that.
Has to purpose stored. Carve it Betty.Yeah, bird talk.
What do you want? Look, lots of Victor?

P.S. Victor's has remarkably given the title of this  a double meaning. See if you can figure it out.
